Question 1

What is And Then You?

Accepted Answer

A shared place for a family to save the little moments in a child’s life — written, photographed or spoken — and later turn them into keepsakes.

Question 2

How do I set up our family?

Accepted Answer

Sign up, create your family, then add each child with their name and date of birth. You can add a photo too. After that, invite the people you’d like to contribute.

Question 3

Can I use it on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It works in your phone’s browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

Question 4

How do voice notes work?

Accepted Answer

Hold the record button and say what happened. We write it down for you and keep the recording alongside the memory. You can correct the text afterwards.

Question 5

Can I add to a memory later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open any memory and choose to add to it — a forgotten detail, a photo, how it ended.

Question 6

What if I don’t know what to write?

Accepted Answer

Each child gets suggested questions that match their age, and reminders can include a question to get you started. Our guide on what to write has more ideas.

Question 7

Who can see our memories?

Accepted Answer

Only people in your family. Admins (usually parents) see every memory. Contributors, such as grandparents, aunts and uncles, see only the memories they add themselves.

Question 8

How do I invite grandparents or other family?

Accepted Answer

From the Family page, send an email invite or copy a link to share. You choose their relationship and whether they’re an admin or a contributor.

Question 9

Where is our data kept?

Accepted Answer

On servers in the UK (London). Nothing is public unless you choose to create a shareable keepsake link.

Question 10

Can I turn reminder emails off?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Admins can set how often reminders come for each child, or switch them off in notification settings.

Question 11

What is a keepsake?

Accepted Answer

A collection of memories brought together as a PDF or storybook — either exactly as written, or retold as a story that you review and edit before downloading.

Question 12

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Saving memories is free. Membership unlocks unlimited keepsake downloads: an early-bird lifetime option or an annual option. See the Pricing page for current prices.

Question 13

Can I give it as a gift?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can buy a membership as a gift without signing up. The recipient redeems it for their own family.

Question 14

Can I get a printed book?

Accepted Answer

Printed books are coming as a separate add-on. You can register interest from the keepsakes page.
